Never Get In An Elevator With The Devil

Quarantine filmmaking duo Drew and John Erick Dowdle will be shooting more scenes for the first production of M. Night Shyamalan’s genre franchise, The Night Chronicles. The movie is titled Devil and additional footage is going to be shot in Los Angeles next month. I knew this movie was being made, but I didn’t know that it was already in production. Most of the time, people translate “shooting additional footage” with “trying to fix a crappy movie that has problems.” That is not always the case, as sometimes it’s just to “enhance what’s already been filmed.” Bloody Disgusting stated that “the additional photography appears to be sequences involving family members to the lead characters.” After the jump, you can check out a short synopsis of the film and get more info about the cast and release date.

Much of the plot is being kept secret, but what we do know is the story revolves around Bowden, a sobered-up homicide detective who gets involved with a group of people trapped in an elevator — when they begin to mysteriously die one by one. Apparently, the devil is among them.

The Night Chronicles: Devil stars Chris Messina, Logan Marshall-Green, Jenny O’Hara, Jacob Vargas, Matt Craven, Bojana Novakovic, Bokeem Woodbine, Geoffrey Arend, and Caroline Dhavernas. It’s coming out June 11th, 2011 through Universal Pictures.
