Dawn Treader Finally Sets Sails On Net!

The trailer for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader has finally hit the net. I was beginning to wonder if they were EVER going to start promoting this movie. There has been absolutely zero buzz for this film in my opinion. That doesn’t surprise me, though, since Prince Caspian was so wretched. I have to say that I’m glad they switched directors. Maybe that and a less “safe” studio will pump some life into this franchise. It really is a shame that the last two movies seemed so “sterile” and “clean.” The Chronicles of Narnia and C.S. Lewis deserve better. The trailer makes The Voyage of the Dawn Treader definitely look more interesting than Prince Caspian. Here’s to hoping they get the atmosphere and tone right this time around. Check out the trailer for the film and a synopsis after the jump.
Synopsis:
Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. The film is directed by Michael Apted and stars Ben Barnes, Skandar Keynes, Georgie Henley, William Moseley, and Anna Popplewell.

  1. This actually looks a lot less impressive than the other two films. The last two were great in my opinion. The forced romance in the second was a bad move, but nothing to complain about.

This one looks like it’ll be okay, but I’m worried the new guys won’t be able to bring the magic the others brought. This trailer seems evidence of that, but only time will tell. Great actors and CGI still, at least. And the same script writer I hope. 🙂

Excited, as usual, to see another Narnia film.
