House Screening & Discussion – June 26th

TSR Book & Movie Club will be hosting a screening of the movie adaptation of Frank Peretti and Fred Dekker’s best-selling horror novel House on June 26th at 7PM. The screening will be at the First United Methodist Church Youth Center at 121 N. Center Street in Grand Prairie, TX. 16 years old and up is a suggested age range to view this film. There is no nudity or graphic violence, but has some violence, terror, and intense situations.

After the film, we will be having a short discussion on the different elements and messages of the film with group participation encouraged. There will be free popcorn and drinks served.

A troubled couple, torn over issues about their dead child and their respective careers, blow off a counseling session and, after an accident, wind up in a strange house, where they meet two other guests, as well as the two strange proprietors. As they become aware that they’ve fallen into an evil house where their worst fears and most private secrets are known, the four guests must fight for their sanity and their survival against the terrifying, evil Tin Man.

House was directed by Robby Henson (Thr3e, The Visitation) and stars Bill Moseley (Repo! The Genetic Opera, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) Michael Madsen (Sin City, Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs), JP Davis, Pawel Delag, Heidi Dippold, Leslie Easterbrook, and Julie Ann Emery.
